Privacy

This page summarizes what happens when you use milandekruijf.com. It is not legal advice; it is a plain-language overview for visitors.

Contact form

Messages are sent through Web3Forms, which processes the name, email, and message you submit. Use the form only if you accept their handling of that data. This site does not operate its own mail server for the form.

Browser storage

The contact page may save a draft of your fields in your browser's local storage so you do not lose text on refresh. You can clear it by clearing site data for this domain. Theme preference may also be stored by the theme control in a similar way.

When you open individual open source project pages or blog posts, this site may record a short list of your most recently visited items in localStorage (only on your device) to show quick links in the navigation. That list holds page identifiers, titles, visit times, and a small amount of display metadata (for example repository stats or a post date). It is not sent to a server and is limited to a few entries; clearing site data for this domain removes it.

Server-side features

When enabled via environment configuration, the server can call third-party APIs (for example GitHub, Spotify, or weather data) to show project metadata or footer widgets. Those services receive only what their APIs require (such as repository names or OAuth tokens stored in the deployment environment). This site does not load third-party advertising or analytics scripts in the page.
